GIORNATA CONCLUSIVA
Le 3 prime giornate dell’ Ascona Film Festival si sono svolte all’insegna della qualità dei cortometraggi a livello internazionale. Le 80 proiezione da tutto il mondo hanno visto sfilale sullo schermo (offerto da Electronic Studio) diversi generi di cortometraggi : Fiction, Documentari, Animazione classica, Animazione digitale, videoclip musicale, sperimentali e video arte. Il pubblico si è affezionato e gli interessati sono ritornati sera dopo sera, dando grande soddisfazione agli organizzatori e confermando la validità della proposta dal punto di vista culturale.
Il livello intenazionale della qualità raggiunta già dalla seconda edizione conferma le aspettative sulla qualità e il significato dell’evento a livello culturale, artistico e come potenziale attrattore turistico per la nostra regione. Sta ora alle autorità decederne le sorti e utilizzarlo con lungimiranza come “calcio d’inizio” per la stagione turistica. La fromula e l’architettura sono solide e se arriveranno i sostegni per la promozione l’Evento potrebbe aggiungersi alle iniziative per rendere competitiva a livello culturale e turistico la nostra destinazione. Confido nella lungimiranza delle associazioni, enti e comuni che sicuramente ne capiscono la potenzialità.

Ringraziamo pubblicamente L’Anglo-Swiss Club di Locarno per la comunicazione del nostro programma ai suoi soci. Un bell’esempio di collaborazione e armonia !!!
BENVENUTI/WELCOME !!!
HISTORY
The Anglo-Swiss Club of Locarno was founded in 1934. Its war-time President, Mrs. Aus der Au, kept a skeleton club going in hostile circumstances. Her windows were broken and threats shouted at her for her Anglo sympathies.
However, post-war. she helped rebuild the club and by the 50’s and 60’s it was a thriving British Expat organisation with over 150 members. President Mrs. Meschini ran it successfully for a remarkable 31 years, but numbers fell as sterling was repeatedly devalued and older members died. By 1995 there were fewer than 30 members left and possible disbandment was discussed at the AGM.
An American committee member who taught English locally, Professore Walter Snyder, offered to try and rebuild it. As President he developed new activities and promoted the club to his students as a place to practice English. By the end of his 11-year tenure, the membership had recovered to over 130, and he handed the presidency in 2006 to Iain Wylie. Iain continued to build on the established base, emphasising the club as a social venue for members who shared international backgrounds and wanted to keep up their English.
The club which President Yvonne Schneider-Bryant took over in June 2011 has now 270 members and a programme of over 50 events during the 10-month season including walks, dinners, coffee mornings, aperitifs, special outings and a series of six annual lectures.

Come diventare pilota di elicottero
Il pilota di elicottero è un mestiere da sogno. Migliaia di giovani uomini e, per fortuna, sempre più giovani donne si ripropongono come obiettivo quello di finire nel cockpit di un elicottero.
L’elicottero, in un Paese montagnoso come la Svizzera, svolge un ruolo molto importante. Innumerevoli compiti, come il rifornimento di regioni montane sperdute, il soccorso in caso di incidenti gravi e catastrofi naturali, lavori edili o trasporti rapidi di persone non possono essere portati a termine senza elicottero.
Per questo il nostro paese ha bisogno di piloti motivati, affidabili e con una preparazione eccellente.
E proprio per questo vogliamo fornire risposte a domande come: cosa serve per diventare pilota di elicottero, quanto costa e quali sono i possibili sviluppi di carriera.
